'The One I LOVE'

On my first visit to Singapore I was shocked to find out that not only was same sex marriage not allowed but that sexual relations between males, even if it is consensual and takes place in private are illegal in Singapore. While not regularly enforced, the fact that despite multiple attempts it has still not been removed in court is appalling. I have both family and friends who identify as LGBTQI and I can’t imagine how much harder life must be for them simply because of who they love. My own inter racial relationship with my husband was illegal in most parts of the world up until the 1960s. This is something we look back on as ridiculous now and I am hoping that soon it will be the same for same sex partners. Love is Love people.
